Maxim Super Bowl Party - Two Words: "Good Luck" Posted Jan 13th 2008 4:11PM by Ken Spalasso, SBPHQ Staff In years past, the winner of "Best Super Bowl Party" has usually gone to either Playboy or Maxim. This makes sense, as these two mags and the Super Bowl are clearly man's best friend. The Maxim party , however, is even more exclusive than the Playboy party, because the Maxim event is strictly invite-only. As you are probably already aware, though, tickets are being offered currently through ticket brokers at exorbitant amounts, some even higher than a good seat to the Big Game. We checked out three different online brokers and found a single ticket going for $2,726, $3,805, and $3,200, depending on the broker you choose! If you're trying to justify paying those prices, then I'll try my best to help you. This party routinely draws and features the highest concentration of the hottest celebrities around. Last year, at Hotel Saginaw in Miami Beach, Fergie performed in front of the A-list crowd. Others attending included Nick Lachey, Michael Strahan, Tony Romo, Craig Ferguson, Matt Leinart, Andy Roddick, Jamie Foxx, the Williams sisters, Alex Rodriguez, John Salley, Jamal Anderson, David Spade, Lennox Lewis, Kid Rock, Shemar Moore, Terrell Owens, Carson Palmer, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmy Johnson. In 2006, the list icluded Jessica Alba, Tom Brady, and Jamie Lynn-Sigler. Furthermre, Maxim usually creates a more intimate setting, without too many VIP refuges. This leads to a high chance of striking up a conversation with say Jeff Gordon about his best drafting strategy on the speedway. Taking place at the AAA Five-Diamond Fairmont Scottsdale Princess resort, the party will indeed be set in a lush surrounding, where "sun-washed stone and bright green cottonwoods rise up to meet the pale-blue sky and majestic purple mountains."
