Put on your tux for Berman, Leno, and 20 NFL Hall of Famers Posted Jan 11th 2008 8:11PM by Jeff Townsend, SBPHQ Staff If you are a big fan of Jay Leno and want the ability to meet NFL Hall of Fame inductees, then the Big Ticket Gala Super Bowl XLII Bash taking place on Wednesday night might be an event that you will want to go to. Jay Leno is hosting this black-tie event and ESPN commentator Chris Berman will serve as the master of ceremonies. The real draw should be the 20 NFL Hall of Fame inductees that will be in attendance. Unfortunately, it is unknown exactly which former players will be in attendance which is surprising for an event that costs $1,250 to attend. Stay tuned for more info on that. The die-hard football fan will probably enjoy checking out the NFL Hall of Fame’s traveling exhibit of memorabilia, in addition to the football-related items that will be featured in the silent auction. The silent auction will feature several one-of-a-kind items such as a Harley-Davidson motorcycle autographed by Jay Leno and other guests including Hall of Famer Football players. There will also be an appearance by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We here at SuperBowlPartyHQ.com have to ask ourselves if this VIP party is really worth $1,250. There will be a good number of NFL Hall of Famers in attendance but is that really worth the high price of this party? Keep in mind that they are expecting to sell between 900 to1,000 tickets to this event which means that it is not exactly an intimate affair. You could watch Leno’s show any night of the week for free, although I’m sure partygoers will be treated to some original material. They probably called this event a “Bash” since it would be difficult to call it a party with an ending time of 10 p.m. On top of all of this, since there is a special VIP package for $10,000 that allows for some type of special access for the guest, your $1,250 ticket probably won’t get you that close to any actual Hall of Famers. Location: The Phoenician Resort Time: Wednesday, January 30th, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets: $1,250 per person which includes a gift. A special package is also available for $10,000 that includes a ticket to the Super Bowl and better access at the event that should enable mingling with the VIPs at the party.
