Wyclef Jean and Celebrity Night at the Tables Featured on Friday Night at 944 Village

Friday - Wyclef Jean/ Celebrity Night at the Table
Beginning at 10 p.m., a series of runway fashion shows will kick-off the evening, with world-renowned mixer on drums and percussion, Ravi Drums, and the world’s leading video mixer, Roonie G. Music superstar and Sony BMG recording artist Wyclef Jean will then take to the stage and will undoubtedly rock the crowd with a very special performance on Friday night. Expect to hear some of your favorite Wyclef songs along with material from his latest release “Carnival Vol II, Memoirs of an Immigrant”. Also providing entertainment will be DJ Roonie G and Ravi Drums. The concert will begin upon the conclusion of the poker tournament.
In addition to the Wyclef Jean concert, 944 is putting on a celebrity poker tournament at 5 p.m. called Celebrity Night at the Tables. Partnering with the tournament will be One Five Foundation, with the proceeds to benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation and Junior Achievement of Arizona. This will be a Texas Hold-em No Limit event. Entrance starts at $2,000 a person, and includes a gift bag and guest pass to watch, as well as entrance into the Wyclef Jean concert.
If you are a poker fan, then this tournament should be very interesting to you since there is expected to be many poker pros playing in the tournament. There is also expected to be some of the actors from the upcoming poker movie “The Grand” in attendance.

944 Magazine, which will serve as the official lifestyle magazine of the 2008 Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, is also set to produce an unrivaled entertainment experience on the Scottsdale Waterfront during the week leading up to Super Bowl XLII. Slated to run from Thursday, January 31, 2008 through gameday, February 3, 2008, the 944 SUPER VILLAGE will offer three days and nights of national A-list entertainment, celebrity guests and hosts, and special events on four acres of prime real estate in the epicenter of Scottsdale. Confirmed talent throughout the week includes Velvet Revolver, Wyclef Jean, Juliette and The Licks and Paul Oakenfold with additional performances to be announced in the coming weeks. The 944 SUPER VILLAGE will also host the official 2008 Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee Party on Saturday, February 2, 2008.
In partnership with Explosive Entertainment, the tented city will offer sports and celebrity meet-and-greets and autograph sessions, festival-style activities, food tastings, special stunts, art displays and charity events from day into night, with an expected attendance of more than 20,000 people. The 944 SUPER VILLAGE at the Scottsdale Waterfront will also celebrate the official 2008 Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee Party on Saturday, February 2, 2008.

TICKETS AND GENERAL INFORMATION
The 944 SUPER VILLAGE will be open Jan. 31, 2008 to Feb. 3, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. nightly. Tickets for daytime activities are FREE for Arizona residents and $5 for non-Arizona residents. Tickets for evening festivities, after sales tax, range from $116 to $175 for general admission, and $566 to $845 for V.I.P. tickets. VIP cabanas in the Main Entertainment Tent run from $500 to $1,000 per person for a minimum of 20 people. Tickets can be purchased at www.944.com/azsuperbowl. VIP ticket holders will be able to access the special VIP areas set up throughout the 944 Village (non cabana), taste some appetizers, and receive 7 drink tickets good for beer, wine, and specialty cocktails. Both tickets will not allow re-entry into the event.

As of January 12, 30% of the General Admission tickets have been sold and 39% of the VIP tickets have been sold.
